We're pleased to announce the completion of our latest project, Indie Music Reviews.
This Web site was created for our client to allow his network of writers to collaboratively add, edit, and maintain music reviews for thousands of independent recording artists.
IndieMusicReviews.Net is based on the popular open source CMS Joomla. In this particular installation we worked with an outside designer brought in by the project owner. The mockup was sent along which we then needed to rebuild in order to best be used to work with Joomla's templating.
An additional tool was created which bypassed the native user articles submissions components built into Joomla. We found along the way that the editor and options available to the editors were overwhelming them, and the learning curve was not worth the time to train on it's usage. In order to help with this, our tool allowed a much simpler copy and paste method of submitting articles and images, where the article text and images where processed on the fly to fit the template design considerations.
